As some of you already know, The Deadly Nightshade reunited in the summer of 2008 (for the first time since brief reunions in 1984, for the National Women's Music Festival and the New England Women's Music Festival), to play two gigs. One was at the Institute for the Musical Arts in Western MA's Pioneer Valley, our original stomping grounds. The other was in Long Island, a concert for the North Fork Women for Women Fund.

Our plan was just to see how those went, and then figure out where to go-- if anywhere-- from there.

It couldn't have gone better. Both venues were sold out; we got to spend time with some fantastic people we hadn't seen for many years; we had a wonderful time playing; and, what with all the energy being expended, we lost 12 lbs.

So we're going to keep playing, starting with some gigs around Memorial Day, 2009.
